Welcome to Craft Knockout.
I’m a graduate student in Wisconsin (and occasionally Sweden), using craft to preserve sanity. Back in the winter of 2006, a button fell off my coat. I brought the coat and button halfway across the country (this required an airplane) so that my mother could sew the button back on. An intervention was clearly necessary. But the intervention went a bit too far and now I spend all of my pennies on yarn and needles and used sewing machines. Oh well, it’s something to do. And anyway, it’s cold here and I can always use just one more scarf…

I was wandering around looking for crochet pandas and happened on your collection. Cute panda, by the way. And besides that – great, insightful writing and a designer’s dream of a web site. Everything is so very tasteful. And modern. What is interesting to me is young women rediscovering craft and bending it to their own aesthetic. Good for you.
